Research Training Program Scholarship (RTP) / Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DUPR) 2025

The RTP scholarships are funded by the Australian Government, while the DUPR scholarships are funded by Deakin University. Both awards are available to domestic and international students. Only top-ranked applicants will be offered an RTP.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, applicants:

• Must be a domestic or international student enrolled in an HDR course at Deakin University.
• Must not be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth for HDR fees.
• Must not receive income greater than 75% of the RTP or DUPRS stipend rate to support general living costs.
• Must have completed at least four years of tertiary education.
• Must have achieved 80% or equivalent in the research component of previous studies or equivalent academic attainment.
• Enrolled HDR students can apply but may not apply after completing more than 3 years of doctoral studies or 2 years of master's studies (or part-time equivalent).

Value of the Scholarship:

• Stipend: $35,550 per annum (tax exempt, 2025 rate).
• Relocation Allowance: $500 to $1,500 for students moving from interstate or overseas.
• Health Cover: Single Overseas Student Health Cover for international students during the student visa duration.
