I have a Master's degree in Social work, specialized in Community Development from St.Aloysius Deemed University, Mangalore, Karnataka state, India. I have lived in the UAE for 7 years and have been fascinated by the manner in which big decisions and policies are designed. I would like to pursue my Doctoral studies in Policy making as this is a grey area in the country I belong to and there will be a lot that can be researched to help decision makers in Government. The Al Qasimi Foundation is offering research grants for Ph.D. students of all nationalities. Candidates must be studying in Universities in UAE or abroad.

Eligibility Criteria of the Grant:

The applicants may come from any nationality.
The applicants must be Ph.D. students in good academic standing at an accredited university.
The applicants should be ready to conduct research and have completed all the Ph.D. coursework.
The candidates should have a TOEFL score of at least 85 or an IELTS score of 6.5 if English is the secondary language.
The research proposal should be approved by their advisor and should include a literature review and significant detail on the research methodology.
The research proposal should be approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the applicant's home institution.
The research proposal should address education, public policy, or related social science issues or questions.

Documents Required:

The applicants for the Al Qasimi Foundation's Doctoral Research Grants, 2024 should submit curriculum vitae with an education background, work and research experience, publications, and awards.
Current official transcript of applicant's doctoral program
The applicants should also submit two reference letters one from the applicant’s doctoral advisor and the other should be academic.
