Eligibility for Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships (VCES) - Postgraduate:
For 50% Scholarship:
- The applicant must reside in one of the following nations:
- Canada, USA,
- China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea
- Colombia, Peru
- Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Turkey
- Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
- Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam
- The applicant must identify as an international student for fee-paying purposes.
- The applicant must hold an offer of admission to an eligible Master's program at the University of Newcastle city center campus (2025/26 academic year).
- The applicant must already possess, or anticipate obtaining, the equivalent of a UK honors degree (at least upper second class).
For 100% Scholarship:
- The applicant must be a resident of Ghana or Nigeria.
- The applicant must identify as an international student for fee-paying purposes.
- The applicant must hold an offer of admission to an eligible Master's program at the University of Newcastle city center campus (2025/26 academic year).
- The applicant must already possess, or anticipate obtaining, the equivalent of a UK honors degree (at least upper second class).
