The Wellington Master's by Thesis Scholarship is being offered to encourage postgraduate research at Victoria University of Wellington, the University offers scholarships to students about to begin a full-time, research-focused Master's degree.
Eligibility criteria for Wellington Masters by Thesis Scholarship atVictoria University of Wellington 2025:
- Applicants must be eligible at the time of application or will have become eligible by the start of Trimester 2 the following year.
- Applicants must be enrolling in a Master’s degree by thesis worth 90 points or more.
- Applicants must not be enrolled in a 60-point dissertation course.
- Applicants would normally be expected to have completed:
- An Honours degree or Part 1 of a Master’s degree.
- Achieving a GPA of at least 7.0 (on a 9-point scale) from a New Zealand university.
- Note: A GPA of 7.0 is the minimum; a higher GPA may be required due to limited funding.
- Applicants must be intending to enrol full-time at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington.
- Applicants must be intending to enrol in a thesis course worth 90 points or more.
Value of the Wellington Masters by Thesis Scholarship atVictoria University of Wellington 2025:
- $15,000 tax-free stipend for one year.
- Tuition fees covered for 120 points at the domestic rate.
- Fees paid directly to the University by the Scholarships Office.
- International students (except Australians) must pay the difference between international and domestic fees.
